Web Design explores the world of online communication. Students learn basic HTML coding, advanced coding using Macromedia Dreamweaver, graphic design using Macromedia Fireworks, animation using Flash, and JavaScript.

The goal of each Web Design 1student is to create their own personal Web Site using Web Development software called Macromedia Dreamweaver (for Web pages) and Macromedia Fireworks (to create images). The focus of the course is on design and construction of Web pages.

Web Design 2 builds upon basic skills learned in Web Design 1. The focus of this course is to build an e-commerce Web site. Students examine ideas such as what makes a good logo, Mission Statements and the power of using the Internet to sell products. Advanced topics such as Macromedia Flash (animation) and JavaScipt are also covered.

Web Design 3 and 4 build further upon their skills with a primary focus on becoming an Adobe Certified Associate. Achieving certification in this area can lead to entry-level Web design work and internships.
